Delay in IEC Work Permit

I have applied for an IEC work permit on May 8th and I am still waiting for a response from CIC. I already gave my biometrics and I thought it is gonna be a matter of few days before getting my LOI. Now it is almost the end of the 8th week and my application status is still "Review in progress".

From Tunisia. I applied through a Recognized Organization but I believe it goes through the same process.

No - it's not the same process. The process is a great deal more streamlined for IEC applicants from the 32 countries with which Canada has an agreement. Being from Tunisia, you don't benefit from this process and can expect to wait longer. As usual with CIC, there's really nothing you can do but wait.

So what you're saying is that it's more similar to a regular work permit application?

I'm on the same boat as the original poster.

Hey addonis, I'm going through the exact same process and I saw on your profile that you got the permit. Can you tell me how long exactly did you have to wait for your permit? Thanks in advance
