hello! I just want to ask anyone here who had to do extra medical furtherance if it does affect the length of processing. Here is the timeline of our application.

Feb 28 - application sent to CPC sydney
April 1 - received letter from immigration stating that I am allowed to sponsor my spouse
April 5 - letter regarding biometrics
April 6 - letter regarding the medical exam
April 9 - medical exam

My husband was told that the physician saw something in his lungs and that he has to do a sputum test. However, the test result will only be available after 8 weeks because they have to culture the sputum. I have seen that the sputum test is quite a common medical furtherance so I was hoping that someone would see this and share their experience to shed some light to us.

My questions are, after 8 weeks, what’s going to happen? How long will it takes before I get the PPR?

Any comment would be appreciated. Thank you!
