Just checked my ecas and it said a decision had been made on my PR Application. I am being sponsored by my common-law partner in Canada. It says Medical results have been recieved. Does this mean I've been granted PR or that my partner has been approved as a sponsor?

Yes its a good thing because they wouldnt deny you without a interview or unless it was a criminal or security issue. I would say its a good sign! Congrats :D

Sounds like good news indeed! :)
...because the sponsorship has already been approved, right?

What is your timeline and your processing location?

Haven't head anything about my partner's sponsorship being approved. Is it likely to be that then?

I applied in July through Vegreville. I'm excited but cautious! If I haven't heard news on the sponsorship approval then I assume its that, right? Or does the fact it says medical files have been recieved mean it is a decision on my PR?

If you log into eCAS with the sponsor's information you will be able to see sponsorship and PR application status independently, at least on outland application. I'm not sure how it works with inland applications.

If you never heard about sponsorship then that is most likely it; the sponsorship is the first step, and PR will not be approved without sponsorship being approved first.

Ah, I see. Well, hopefully its good news. For inland my partner never recieved information or a log in method. CIC she wont, as it all goes under my name

sounds like good news! congratulations! :)

Oh, ok. My apologies; I was an outland applicant and am not too familiar with how the electronic systems work during inland applications.

Congrats!

Sounds like they are moving along with the Inland applications...we applied Inland in August, so we may get a decision in the next month or so.
