Hi,

I'm hoping someone might be able to reassure me. This morning my ECAS changed to Decision Made to sponsor my husband. Does this mean he will soon receive his COPR or could it be bad news?

Thanks, Just don't want to get too excited...

If it was going to be a denial you would have most likely had an interview first. This is probably an approval, but you have to wait and see when you get correspondence from CIC. I received my husband's approval (I was listed as his representative) by email and so received it before ecas changed, however, yours could be coming by snail mail. Sit tight and you'll know soon.

Did u have an interview? If not, chances are very high that it's your approval.

Thanks to all for answering my query. It's hard not to be nervous until you actually have the COPR in your hand. Just to give you an idea of my time frame, I applied through the London Office. I'm from Ireland but have Canadian citizenship so sponsoped my husband and my children are in the process of obtaining Canadian citizenship;

Meds done Feb 2012
Received approval to sponsor Mar 27th, 2012
Approval to sponsor June 28th, 2012
In Process Nov. 8th, 2012
Decision Made Dec. 14th, 2012

I'll keep you posted when I hear more.

Thanks again

Congratulations :) happy news and best Christmas gift for you
