Decision Made...Good or Bad?

Calling all Seniors...

Just by chance i checked my ECAS today - and it says Decision Made.

I'm Sep2012 applicant. Medical done and passed at CIC on 3rd June.
A week later, I paid RPRF in advance. So i have not received any RPRF request (logically, i should'nt), neither BIODATA request.

I am still waiting for PPR. The last GCMS on 4th August said Recommend Passed.

I contacted CIC to know the reason of delay on my case and they said background check is taking time.

I am looking for some response from experienced eyes on this forum, who have seen Decision Made status before PPR was sent? Recently, i've only seen that first PPR is sent. Once the applicant sends the passport, only after that Decision Made status appears.

So naturally, my passport hasn't been requested and Decision has been Made. I'm little worried.

If you guys have seen DM status appearing before PPR is sent, and if the case ended positively (PPR sent later)...please do let me know.

does ur ecas status says "medical have been received?? maybe ppr is on the way. I am sure u will be alright. keep an eye on ur email for message. All the best

agree with ujbaby! since it says "recommend passed" and you already got and completed MR, i think it will be positive. just be patient a little bit longer and keep the faith. i have seen decision made on here for various reasons and at various stages....it just depends on how the VO put it in the system. if you are from a visa exempt country, then you will be skipping PPR and just getting COPR. but if you are not, then they will request your passport soon for counterfoil (visa).

just stay positive!! no reason to be concerned at this point...

Yes, my "medicals have been received status'' had been showing since early June. And no, im not from a visa exempt country.

Thanks for confirming that DM status can appear before they request the PPR. That was my critical concern. I will be getting my GCMS pretty soon, but since it was requested in early August, i doubt it will show any recent updates.

Let's see.

I am sure you guys are correct, I was only concerned because they haven't made the PPR request. And recently, i have seen on this forum (specially the Waiting for PPR thread) that applicants first get a PPR. Then they get Decision Made and then their passport is returned in couple of days.

Since in our case DM appears earlier, that unsettles me a bit. But hopefully there is nothing to be concerned just like mrniceguy mentioned.

Usually, we see such threads popping up and causing bit of concern and worry among the rest.

So if its worth any thing, my PPR email came through this afternoon.

Most probably it was automatic and destined to come at that time. But I'd mention that 3 hours earlier, I sent an email to CIC - a brief email, informing that the DM status has appeared on my ECAS and there has been no communication from you guys.

At 1pm, i got the PPR - Instructions for Visa Issuance email from CIC.

Hopefully the rest of you will be getting it soon too. InshaAllah (God willing)

Girl...who knows how long i have to wait for Passport to come back. And who knows if my COPR will be free of errors. So untill i get my passport back with error-free COPR, im not singing the chicken cherry cola song .
