Decision Made before Passport Request?

At the end of October, I got an e-mail asking me to pay for the Permanent Residence Fee which I did the very same day. They wouldn't ask me to pay unless it was positive, right? Because I checked the status today and it has changed to "Decision Made". Normally I am able to check the case file through both my sponsor's UCI and my own, but for some reason today... I can't access it through his account, just through mine.

Here is my status below

We received your application for permanent residence on April 5, 2013.

We started processing your application on October 22, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

I just want to know if I have been rejected or not.

If you are visa-exempt (like from USA), then a passport request is optional for CIC to do.

Basically if you didn't do an interview and got DM, then it's pretty much a guaranteed approval. If there were any doubts in your application they would have emailed you asking for clarification, or would have requested an interview. You will never get a denial without first given the chance to address CIC's concerns.

Congrats!
But why would you expect an email? They would only email you if they had concerns with your application or needed additional info.

After DM status, any info on final decision and COPR is only sent through regular mail.

If you don't mind. What office did you apply to? I am currently waiting for COPR from a visa exempt country as well.
