This is the letter I received after Decision Made from Vegreville... currently waiting for the local office letter (Scarborough) for the COPR appointment:

This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class.

We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The CIC in Scarborough will contact you concerning your PR status.

so should i be scare or not ? will i get my papers? interview im so scare !!! lol not kidding

The Right of Permanent Residence Fee of $490 is required before you can become a PR of Canada. To date this fee has not been paid and the confirmation of permanent residence document will not be issued until payment is made. Please be prepared to submit the total fee to the CIC in Scarborough when you are scheduled to obtain your COPR document. Do not send the fee to CPC Vegreville.

Please note: At the time fo your appointment, you and your family members, if any, will be required to present the original ID document(s) to the CIC. A final decision concerning the granting of PR status will be made at that time. If PR is granted, the name that will apppear on the COPR document is your name as it appears on your passport or ID documents.

Did you get the same letter than me?, the one that reads "We are pleased to advise you that processing of your immigration application has been completed..."?.
If so, that letter is way past the First Stage of Aproval (previously known as AIP)... I received the FSA letter time ago, months ago... You should have received that one time ago too.
The "We are pleased to..." letter is like the final stage, meaning I'm still waiting to be contacted by my local office for the Confirmation of Permanent Residence appointment where you become landed, apparently... An "examination interview" is supposed to take place then with you and your sponsor...
Month and a half now since I received this letter and still waiting as patiently as possible and trying to sleep as well...

What does your letter say?, type it in here. I see you copy-pasted mine, is that what you got on the mail?. Dated August 27 from Vegreville?... Where are you at?, Which one is your local immigration office?.

was dated august 27 , 2010 jus like yours......im in dt toronto i guess my cic office is scarbough....dont know cuz all the letters i recieved were sent it from vegreville none from toronto at all.........

Mine is dated August 23 (arrived in the mail on August 27), so I'm supposed to be ahead of you by only 4 days.
We are going to receive a letter from Scarborough where it will tell us when our appointment will be to go pay the landing fee and be interviewed. Apparently this interview will be with your sponsor too and a final decision will be made then. If the decision is favorable, a document called "Confirmation of Permanent Residence" will be issued on that same appointment and then will become Canadian permanent residents...
So, let me know when you get your letter from Scarborough. Apparently it can take up to 3 months from the Vegreville letter in August (the one you typed in here stating "We are pleased to...") to receive it by mail...
We are very close to finish this whole thing...
When did you start your process?, When was your application received by Vegreville?.. Since your letter also states that you will be contacted by the Scarborough office, that will be your office to attend. I thought downtown Toronto people were assigned to the St. Clair office (St. Clair East Ave. near Yonge St.), though.
From the people that I have read about who got their appointment to become landed, all of them passed the interview. It is just a formality, apparently. One person got her appointment letter mentioning nothing about bringing the sponsor with her and since her office was Oshawa, there was no appointment at all, drop by anytime during business hours and she didn't get interviewed at all either..

We received your application for permanent residence on August 26, 2009.

We started processing your application on September 23, 2009.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

We sent you a letter on February 22, 2010 to xxxxxx Toronto, Ontario, Canada, xxxxx about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

well yeah i know that we have an interview what i dont know if is landing or an actual interview ! what do u know about that...i called tpday they told me that i still have less than 2 months tto go !

Yes, your timeline is similar to mine. My application was sent late September, received early October.
I also went to Scarborough to inquire in person, but was given the standard line without even looking at my letter or anything. That person said it could take 3 - 5 months to receive the appointment letter...
It's called "an examination interview" and is a light interview. It is not the same interview people get when they don't get AIP and have to be interviewed... Stick to your truths, do not be afraid.

well i hope you are right in that one cuz it gives me hope that nothing bad will happend when that day comes around you know i been here a few years i met someone special my husband and it will be crazy if i have to go home without him.......hes my soul and i jus wanna be with him till i die...
pls if u get anything let me know ill be checking....always and if anything dont be afraid to email me.....good to have you here lol really is........ciaoooooooo ciber help !!! ttyl

Likewise!.
It's good to know and find someone with the same timeline so that we can know how is it going and wait together... We must be the last ones from September/October awaiting to be landed... Take care and of the hubby too, have a nice Thanksgiving day!.

Hi,

I'm new to this site. My timeline is close to you all but I guess I have a long wait. I'm sponsoring my husband inland. Our letter was rcvd from Vegreville Sept 10th 2010. Howeer I don't think ours will be going to the Scarborough office. B/C we live in West Toronto. And my updates or letter says nothing about scarborough at all. I hope the toronto office letter doesnt take too long. I will update you all if I hear anything.

Yes, the Scarborough office is here in the Toronto metro area, Ontario.
Yours won't be this one, Vincywife...
Any news with your case?.
