Good day, and thanks for reading. Hope everyone’s applications are proceeding well
Just wondering how other folks applications are progressing compared to ours.
We sent our application in last Dec 17th to the Mississauga office. Accepted the next day.
Then in mid March we received the notification for the medical. It was successfully completed the following week and submitted.
Also at the same time, the OWP was approved and received in the mail.
But since then no news. Nothing negative or positive. Nothing returned or request for more information. We just can see via the ECAS and GCKey links that it’s been looked at presently.
We are obviously stressed as it’s been a while and others seem to be getting news about their applications. Especially applications submitted after ours.
Any opinions or advice would be appreciated

Processing times are on average 12 months and yes there will be many months where you don’t hear anything.
Thank you “Canuck78” for your reply the other month.
We got an email last week, stating ...

“This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or
Common-Law Partner in Canada Class.
It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these requirements.”

Then a few days later we noticed on our ECAS page/account, the status changed from “in process” to “decision made”.
This is all we have received so far. To us this seems like good news. We have had nothing returned due to errors or any requests for more information.

Would it be safe to assume the next email would be information about the final interview?
Appreciate any opinions. Thanks

Yes. Not everyone receives an interview. You’ll either get information about an interview or a final decision about your sponsorship.

I see, okay thanks. And thanks for the quick reply back.
Yes hopefully an interview soon. Be nice to get this process over with.
We applied/sent our application to the Mississauga office last December.
But the email/letter we received last week was from the Vancouver CIC office. I wonder if that slowed things down?

12 months is the estimated time for sponsorship so you are still well in that time frame.
