Sarah,

Keep on record. You should inform OINP for personal info change to be safe. Please don't assume OINP knows the details.

You pursued your application for so long, leading to your AOR

tolexy welcome to the group and congrats. I added you in the above list

was it mentioned on your DD that it is valid for 6 months?

Can't remember anything of such but would check with my bank on Monday, however the DD was actually issued in September but my Doc was returned in Dec so I had to re-submit using same DD that was issued in Sept.

didn't have any idea about DD expiration until i started following this forum.

Another bit of worry is - a receipt showing payment of 1500 was issued alongside my AOR but the body of mail says i have to reforward a new DD else my application would not be processed. Any thoughts on this.

Dear All,

IN OINP application guide, it is written below:

3. Personal and Work History (Principal Applicant Only) *
Provide the details of your personal and work history since the age of 18, or the past 10 years, whichever is most recent. Start with the most
recent information. Under “Occupation”, write your occupation or job title if you were working. If you were not working, provide information on
what you were doing (for example: unemployed, studying, travelling, retired, etc.). Attach supporting documentation for each employment entry
(reference letters, workbooks, etc.). Please ensure that you do not leave any gaps in time. Use a separate sheet if necessary.
Note: only relevant paid work experience will be assessed.

My questions are:

1. If there is gap of let say 1 week or 2 weeks or 1 month, just to relax a bit before joining new firm, what should one write? Unemployed? or just don't bother to put that time? Actually, I realized today only that I didn't mention those free times.

2. What if someone has visited other countries while being employed, on business visas? Is that too needed to be mentioned in this section?

Congrats to all who received AOR this week!

Thank god the list is moving! Rooting for Best of Lucks AOR next week IA! :D

If it's under one month u don't need to inform them as per ircc standards but if it's over 1 month u need to write them a LOE mentioning your employment gap

2. What if someone has visited other countries while being employed, on business visas? Is that too needed to be mentioned in this section?

if it's a part of your work then the passport u submitted already had a visa stamp of different country, only if your stay is more than 6 months u need to be worried but if that's not the case they'll check ur passport stamp and ask u for explaining if required

Just a general questions, how long does it take for nomination to take effect on your EE profile? (i.e. the time you are nominated to the time you have your 600 points)

After I accepted the nomination, the points got added after 5 days.

Not exactly certain, as the email didn't state. My bank assured me that it wouln't expire as it was ALREADY withdrawn from my account. But if it were to expire after 6 months then I'm assuming May 10th, 6 months after Dec 10th, when it issued.

You should get your maths right. 6 months from Dec 10 is Jun 10, not May 10.

Hhaha, That's what I meant.
Now that I realize, they sent the AOR the exact date of expiry. Hmm.. Why OINP? Why!

You got your AOR on 9-june, while your Banker's cheque expired on 10-June, so looks like OINP didn't even try to encash it ???
