what's your progress been so far? is your bg prohibitons and all done?

I got a ghost update today, Jan 7. My last update was March 8. Let's see if there is an actual update in the next few days on the LPP.
Also someone asked me if my GCMS notes had any insight. And the answer is no. There are no redacted or notes of concern. I also see that my file was assigned 2x to 2 separate officers to complete. The first officer didnt do it by the due date his supervisor set and so looks like the supervisor then reassigned it again. Ironically, the last due date was by Dec 5 LOL.

So this isn't a ghost update but an actual update that you've been asked to attend an interview. Ghost updates just show a change in the last updated date with no real changes to the application activities.
Don't stress about the interview. It is usually straightforward. Take your documents and be prepared to answer all the questions you provided on the application. From what I've read on here, interviews are typically used as a way to confirm information and clear any possible discrepancies.

Seriously speculating, and without reading into it with actual facts, I believe this has got to do with the file location movement. The last time I got the GU back in March was when the file was transferred to Vancouver from Scarborough. It could very well be a movement back to Scarborough. But then again, a GU is just a GU until the actual status updates, and the finally swear us in.

Well that shouldn't be the case for me as my LPP needs to be marked complete first before they can transfer to the local Mississauga office for setting up the oath.
My experience has been different...all ghost updates for me have resulted in an activity, including the March one which was placing me in the PM03 queue.
Anyways, any movement is good especially since it's a few of us too. Means they are trying to close things out before the 13 months.

My wife’s case is pretty much the same as yours. The 2nd last update was March 1 and GU on December 18 ( nothing changed yet ) . BG and test passed since Feb. Security is passed in CBSA notes . Due date was December 05 but… nothing tangible just a GU. pmo3 since March .

Seems like they started working on all this unfortunate batch of files they ghosted back in March. Called IRCC but could not get much out of her about this GU except that , *Good thing officer started working on your file again , keep an eye on email in case they need anything*
