I applied for my twin kids (born August 2020) in December 2020. Here are the details :
Application sent : December 10th 2020
AOR : February 6th 2021
Sponsor evaluation completed : March 11th 2021
File sent to VAC Delhi : March 11th 2021
Medical requested : March 11th 2021
Medical completed : March 16th 2021
Request for Passport : April 16th 2021

Nope none at all. I sent out the email to VAC Delhi on 17th April and Delhi went under lockdown on 18th April. The VAC's and all its services are closed till further notice. Just waiting for them to open up.

I finally got things moving but as usual its only half baked.
As I had filled the Passport submission form one day before the closure of VFS in Delhi they sent out the payment link to us earlier than new applications on 8th July 2021. This was for both my kids. I payed the same day and they arranged a pickup on 10th July. The process took around 2 weeks and we got the passport and COPR back on 24th July but only for one kid. There has been no update on the second passport since they received it.
Anyone it is very specific but is anyone else facing a similar problem or has a way of contacting the VFS office in Delhi. The phone numbers do not work, you are just on wait for hours before it disconnects and live chat option on VFS global for India is disabled.
