Does anyone know if family can access the Oath ceremony using the zoom link sent by IRCC? I have family members that want to watch the ceremony, but won't be in the room with me, so was hoping to just send them the link, but not sure if they're allowed. I know when they were in person you could bring family to the ceremony. Thanks!
In the invitation letter, IRCC mentions clearly that "Do NOT share these Zoom meeting details unless you are a representative of a citizenship applicant". They also advises that "Family and friends may be present in the room with you, however, they should not be disruptive."

Anyone have any idea how long it takes for the oath invitation email/letter to show up once the scheduled oath date shows up in ECAS? I feel like this is a false hope from IRCC but after 23 months of waiting, I am falling for it lol

This definitely gives hope to Vancouver office applicants like me, still waiting on an oath date, DM in November 2021. Congratulations, you are one step away from getting out of this torrid journey!

It has been 3 weeks already and the website shows they processing applications from September 15th to 21st. I thibk they need a month for every 2 weeks range. Means December 2019 applicants will be finalized by october 2022

Hi,

does anyone know how long will it take to receive citizenship certificate?

I did my oath on the 15th January and tracker updated Monday 17th January saying file closed: Reason you became Canadian citizen.

They are finalizing applications from September 22 and 28, 2019 as of today . Can someone add these to tracker somewhere to help us see trends ?

How to contact immigration by email to ask them to expedite my Oath ceremony due to emergency in my family back home?

Today, tracker has updated the status of "Citizenship ceremony" to "In progress". Finger crossed until we receive email invitation
We took the Oath on January 27. On the same day, we sent the signed Oath forms via email as instructed. The status still shows "In progress". Hopefully nothing went wrong as we had a bad experience in submitting documents via email to IRCC (we emailed but they said they never received it)

Nothing is wrong. We take oath on January 26. The status was officially updated on Jan 28 but the status on the website was updated to "Closed" on January 31. Looks like there is a delay between what they do and updates on the website.

I have my oath ceremony tomorrow. Can you tell me how you sent the signed oath form? Did you reply to the oath invitation email? Or there is a specific email they gave to you for sending the signed oath form?

Call them and also send them a urgent request via webform, generally they are good to answer requests that are clearly marker urgent, it might be good to get your office address from the service agent and send them a physical letter marked "URGENT" on the envelope itself with a letter inside explaining the situation. Hope everything turns out good back home. Good luck.
