Yes, you can apply to extend it if you have applied for PR and waiting for a decision. I did that and got a one-year extension. Apply asap since the processing time is over 100 days!
How did you extend your work permit? When I went through the questionnaires it didn't give me any options that I could choose?

In most cases if your medicals were about to expire or have expired, they are sent for reassessment to the regional medical officer who makes a determination to extend them to ask for remed.

If could be the case that your spouse's medicals may have been extended.
Thank you for your input.
I find this odd though. Why wouldn't they another medical for her or extend mine?
I will wait for the officer's response just to be sure everything is right.

This is odd since if an extension is done, it is usually for all individuals in the application.

You can send a webform and clarify this.

Anyone here from Ottawa VO who recently has received PPR (outland)?
No I’ve not, AOR Dec 11. Does anyone in the Ottawa VO have criminality, eligibility check and security completed?
My eligibility has been “met” since about March but criminal and security checks haven’t started at all. Also, has anyone had their medicals extended from the Ottawa VO?

Nope! still waiting. 13 Dec 2019 AOR.
Same still waiting AOR 31 December 2019. Apparently application was approved (found out via web form) in May 2020 but no comms since.
Subsequent web forms have been answered with a generic response. Fingers crossed things speed up in 2021.

I applied for PR under a job code however have experience in two job codes (job code changed after masters) and want to look for jobs under the code the PR is not issued, would that be ok or would it be a problem? I had to apply for the PR under the other job code as I had 3+ years of work ex in that last year which gave me more points...

@legalfalcon any idea...?
