Unfortunately the counter starts after the AOR date. However, I think there are some good news https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/notices/extended-hours-canada.html

that is not correct.

Your processing time starts the day we receive your complete application and ends when we make a decision.

If you apply by mail, the processing time starts when your application arrives in our mailroom"

I understand AOR is the only probe that the CIC office has received your application

"You can check your application status only once we start processing your application. When we do start, we send you an acknowledgement of receipt letter or email with an application number."

Gurus, does anyone know how long it will take to receive passport by post once you apply for it at downtown Toronto passport office location. Website says 10 days but I heard they do pretty quick in Toronto.
