I'm not sure how it is in all countries, but if the country is the US then you only need one. You submit the request to the FBI and the PCC they give you is your record for the whole country no matter what city you lived in. I suppose it is similar for other countries but each country is different and it may be different. I don't know what country you are referring to but for the specifics of PCC for countries see here:

I've read the link. But I couldn't find anything related to number of cities.
By the way, I applied from Pakistan but couldn't send police cert with the application.I got one from my place of birth and sent it few days after the main application package (so I don't know whether they attached it to the package or not).
Now someone told me that I should submit certs from all 3 places but it's just his opinion.
Any way to confirm it?

Hmmm. Yeah, I looked at it too for Pakistan and it does say that in your country PCC is obtained from the town or city police. This is interesting. I'm not sure if the one you get from your local police covers your record for the whole of Pakistan or just that locality. Did you already get the email from CIC requesting that you get your medical/pay the RPRF/submit PCC? Do you know which VO is handling your application? If you are living in and applied from Pakistan I'm not sure but it might be London. (Are you still living in Pakistan or did you apply from the US? - If you applied form Canada or the US it would be the Ottawa CPC handling your application. Anyways, all that just to say that if you know what VO is handling your case, and especially if they already requested you to submit the PCC, I would call to verify with them where all they expect to get PCC certificates from. I wish I knew more about how it works from Pakistan to be able to help you more.

I am still in Pakistan and yes, my VO would be London.
But I didn't get anything after PER. I'm hoping to get MR / PPC soon. I just wanted to be prepared and get the certs ready (coz, u know, it would take time to get certs from 3 cities, if I have to). But your reply helped a lot. I guess I should hold until I get email from VO.

Dec applicants with TLU like your case is already a luxury not to mention DM/PPR. Yes, there are earlier Dec applicants even holding visa in hand. Check it out from Sao Paolo VO. They are really fast and yours seems to be catching up, too. ;D

Dear Karamjeet,

You can prepare a request letter, where in you can mention the subject you want to refer to along with in Ref: your file number and Primary Applicants Name.

Then in Subject please mention all you want to get changes in.

Need an urgent advice.. My consultant has sent my RPRF Demand Draft to New Delhi VO instead of Warsaw.
Kindly confirm, does it create any trouble. Really tensed. Please help if any way I can contact NDVO over phone. Upon called, they do not entertain queries over phone.

Kindly confirm on possibilities to avoid any unnecessary delay or rejection. I have received my medical on 22nd May from Warsaw VO.

Hi Seniors,

This LVO really pisses of now a days, no any update and process seems to be very very slow. I dnot understand why CIC is not shifting the applicants to any other visa office if LVO is over burdened this time. Further, Can anyone update me which month applicants are currently being processed at LVO for MR, RPRF etc and when i should expect to receive request for MR, RPRF etc?

My timelines is as following:

App Filed: Dec 29, 2014
PER : March 30, 2015
Visa Office: LVO
Country: Pakistan
