I received my PER on 31st March. Would be great if someone could advise on the following.

1. Should i take pcc from India in advance or should i wait for VO email to provide pcc?

2. How long does it take to get pcc from India?

3. Is it best to approach passport seva kendra for pcc? I haven't renewed my passport recently. Besides, i renewed it overseas.

I had posted this earlier. No one responded. Could someone advise pls.

Called CIC yesterday evening. Spoke to a very considerate CIC agent out there. Without any file information on my hand, he pulled my records out of his system, and delivered the bad news: My file has been returned on March 12th due to global cap reach.

NOC 1123. File deliver date: 31st December.

All the best to guys who have made it to the elite list.

If the address in your passport has not changed since you renewed it, it is a simple process to get the PCC at the passport seva Kendra. You apply, get an appointment, and your PCC will be issued on the very same day. If your address has changed, then I suggest you initiate the process now, because there will be a police verification before they can issue the PCC. You know how the bureaucracy works here. The PCC is generally considered to be valid for a year from the date of issue, so it shouldn't be a problem if you get it now. I'd suggest you wait till mid-May, if you have the same address. Initiate the process now, if your address has changed.

I am also a Dec 31st applicant, waiting to hear about my application status. Did u receive any update on your application from CIC? Or CC charged? Secondly, how do u know CIC is denying rumors about late Dec applicants being denied?Have you spoken to someone personally?
