Sometimes the attendent can say this, just to get rid of the telephone call.
If your CC is charged, it is only done when file is opened. I don't think that there is a scanner which scanned your closed application package and confirmed that all the documents are there and also automatically read the credit card details and charged your CC!!!!!!
Of course your CC is charged only after opening of the package and for sure you have been issued UCI number. Just try to call again.

Please I asked a question a while back but no one responded. Please how long does it take Money order to get encased? I used Canada-post money order for my own application fees. I suspecting it should be the same as DD right?

I don't want To disapoint you but a friend of mine just called CIC and the atendent said that her app was sent back because the cap was reached. Her application was in November 3.

Anyone tried To call CIC and received the same answear?

The number is: +1 (613) 944-4000.

I always calls CIC by Skype and it demand credit in my case.
You need To dial the numbers until they inform you that they are transfering your call To CIC.

Congrats dude. Here is the procedure to call CIC good luck



Follow the below procedure to call CIC call centre

1. Download Skype or Google Hangouts (optional) on your phone if it has an android or an apple OS.

2. Dial CIC (+16139444000). It costs nothing if you are done with option 1.

3. Navigate through IVR (1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 3, 1).

4. IVR will ask your application id. Don't wait for it to ask for 3 times before it routes you forward, just press # and it will instantly ask for your year of birth in 'YYYY'. Put the year of your birth.

5. IVR will tell you the waiting period before your call can be answered by an agent. Or if the call traffic is too high, it will ask you to call again later.

6. As soon as you get to the agent, just ask for the status of your application. Agent will ask for your last name, first name and date of birth. Finally ask your UCI# which you will get only once you are charged.

If you get quick with the IVR, you can reach the waiting period (point# 5 above) within 2 minutes otherwise it may take around 6 to 7 mins before you are asked to wait for an agent.

It depends. I saw cases wich received with 15 days or more. CIC send by tradicional mailing.
