Pls share the number i can call to CIC to get the application status

Did she mention if 2281 is capped or not? Why would they not have opened 2281 applications.. Weird!!! I have mine received on 11th application.. Not sure how long this will take?

she didn't mention anything like cap she just mentioned that December applicants of 2281 has not been opened yet. So if the cap reached she should have said your application has been returned due to cap but she didn't mentioned anything like that, I will call again today will try to cross check.

I called CiC and the lady pickup the phone she was very friendly, I didn't asked for UCI # I told her that i want to know the status of my application which I sent on 3rd dec, she said can you give me your application # which I don't have. So I said I don't have any number thats why i called you to get that number too and the status of my app kindly check it through my information, she then asked me my last name, first name, dob, app sent from, email address.

She then told me that I have also applied for EE, which i did and then she said let me check your status for fswp she put me on hold after returning from hold status she said December application are haven't opened yet, so I cannot provide you your application number then i asked her about the expected time on which ill get my AOR, she said its usually take 3 months but i can't give you any words on that.

Atleast I am sure now that my application haven't sent back and we are in the cap.

there are many applications charged received in the month of December for different NOcs, She is definitely talking about 2281 bcz applications are not being charged for Dec applicant .

few other members even from other noc also mentioned the same story, after calling CIC.

So, Hope for the Best.

App recived date: 22-Dec
No update as yet

but on forum somebody posted that 22-Dec apps CC is being charged. then what about 17-18-19-20 apps ? how can they jump all of a sudden ?

why there is no charge from 1113 noc

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!

HI GUYZ,

YESTERDAY MY CC GOT CHARGED AND THE AFTER 30 MINUTES OF MY CHARGING I RECEIVED A CALL FROM (+856... COUNTRY CODE = LAOS) SOMEONE CLAIMING TO BE FROM CIC NOVA SCOTIA. THIS GUY HAD A SOUTH ASIAN ACCENT BUT DEFINITELY NOT INDIAN OR PAKI!
HE TOLD ME THAT THEY INTENDED TO CHARGE SOMEONE ELSE BUT I WAS ACCIDENTALLY CHARGED AND MY AMOUNT WILL BE REFUNDED SOON AND IN THE MEAN WHILE MY APPLICATION WILL BE REVIVED AGAIN. THAT IS WHEN I GOT SUSPICIOUS AND PRETENDED THAT IT WAS MY BAD LUCK. STRANGE, THAT HE DIDNT ASK FOR ANY CC INFORMATION THOUGH, MAY BE THEY ARE PLANNING TO CALL ME AGAIN FOR SOMETHING ELSE.

IN EXCITEMENT I HAD SHARED THE CHARGING NEWS WITH MY WATSAPP GROUP MEMBERS AND LOOKS LIKE THERE IS SOMEONE PRYING ON OUR CRITICAL PERSONAL INFORMATION. I REQUEST YOU ALL, NOT TO SHARE YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS AND ANY OTHER DETAILS WITH WHO SO EVER CLAIMING TO BE FROM CIC.

I JUST WANT TO ASK WHETHER THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH SOMEONE ELSE OR IS IT REALLY CIC?

There's a possibility that what they claimed is true.
first of all check with your bank if CIC has requested a refund or not.
My advice to you is to ensure your credit card limit covers another transaction. if they were telling the truth, the refund would take a while, and if it was your turn for the deduction whether today or tomorrow, you may be under the risk of not having sufficient amount at your credit card to finalize the deduction.

AFAIK, they'll give you a UCI number in couple of weeks after they charge your CC
