DECEMBER 2014 FSW APPLICATION SUBMISSION

Hi Everybody,
I sent my application documents by FedEx last Wednesday. I was pleasantly surprised today by a message that advised by documents were received in Sydney, NS at CIO - Intake Office. I am so excited. Here are my questions:
1. Exactly what should I be doing now while waiting for a positive response?
2. How soon will I get a response and what type of acknowledgement should I receive?
3. I have noticed that sometimes a cap number (total available occupations based) goes down and not up. What causes a downward fluctuation?
4. How do I join the group shown on spreadsheet for the tracking of various stages of application progress?

1. Exactly what should I be doing now while waiting for a positive response? Just be patient and you have to wait till you receive Positive Eligibility Review. It will take approx. 60 to 70 Days.
2. How soon will I get a response and what type of acknowledgement should I receive? You will receive Positive Eligibility Review through Email if your application is complete, it will take 60 to 70 days .
3. I have noticed that sometimes a cap number (total available occupations based) goes down and not up. What causes a downward fluctuation? People who do not qualify at later stage for some reasons like fake experience etc. and got caught through CIC background check has caused caps downward. CIC update their cap on the basis of applicant's documents completion and pass marks e.g. 67/100.
4. How do I join the group shown on spreadsheet for the tracking of various stages of application progress? I don't exactly get your point. but when you receive PER it will include a "UCI" number, through this number, you can track progress towards your application status.

Friend – I have done Masters from Concordia University, currently I am in Canada on my work permit status. Applying for FSW. Need to know the following

1. IMM0008 (Generic application form for Canada) should I provide my UCI which I have been allotted for my visa renewal and work permit issuance
2. In the field of country of residents it ask for status and duration. My status is worker as I am currently holding work permit for duration do I ned to put in time from start of Masters (which is day one of landing) or should I put date on which I got my work permit status

Please guide me seniors if I am wrong.
