Today I got an email from High Commission of Canada, Singapore. The first line says -

"This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/12/05" and after that it describes some answer of 4 FAQs.

Is this email means AOR?

when we got our AOR ... does the status change from "in process" to something else or not?

and what are the chances for interview after AOR and in how much time one can expect it?

2nd line will be updated after AOR some 1 to 2 months (not 12 months ) as soon as they will start to process your file (bg checks and employment) then you will be able to see other line in your ECAS. regarding interview, it depends on your luck.

But one has to wait and wait for everything in dis process...it is really hard to wait for everything however, still result gonna b fabulous for all of us.

Hello All,

Someone is being asked by Accra Visa Office to provide the following for the new addition to his family
* An Application for Permanent Residence in Canada [IMM 0008] for you

* Updated the Schedule A: Background/Declaration for you and your spouse respectively

The question is that should he add the following to the requested forms;

1. 6 passport photograph of the new addition (as it is done for the application sent to CIC)
2. Birth certificate of the new addition
3. Data page of passport of the new addition
4. Data page of all the family member including principal applicant


If there are other document not listed above and it requires to be submitted kindly list them out.

So does the second line mean that bg and employment checks are done and security checks are being made, or does it mean that these are still going to be done, to my knowledge many people get the MR as soon as the second line is updated, isn't it?
