Just noticed, the name of addressee should not be Dear Sir/Madam. It should have been directly addressed to the name of the applicant itself. My PER was directly addressed to my name even if i have a consultant. Just saying.

Absolutely true buddy. PER is sent as an EMAIL. This is the scanned copy of a printed communique from CIC. As a matter of fact, that's the format they use for rejections.

The blacked out box on top mentions the name and the correspondence address.

Hi Aveen , I am 19th Dec applicant , I also got the same answer yesterday that a mail has been sent to your representative and when asked that if it was regarding some eligibility ,the agent told me that he doesn't know specifically what that mail was about . He told me that it could be either notification of the transfer of the case to the local visa office or request for further documents and in the meantime i can see my E.C.A.S showing" IN PROCESS" STATUS. I am bit confused and worried though.

Yesterday evening I called Cio and agent asked me basic info after dat he told me to wrote down file number. But when I asked about UCI no he refuse to provide me. But when I asked him is my application accepted he said YES that's why File number is allocated. After call I tried to check status with file number but it's not workin...so confused??

File number is a good evidence to prove yours is going well, isn't it?

Hi Aveen ,

File number and UCI number are two different things. The file number is given once your applications passes the completeness check and the eligibility checks as per MI . The UCI number is allotted immediately once they open your package as they stamp it with the UCI number.

That is the reason why all UCI nos allotted files do not necessarily be eligible for the File number.

I have the same observation, CIC knows whom they are writing (Male or Female) why just Sir or Madam if not the name of the applicant. Strange

I am agree with you, there is nothing to be worry for 29-30-31 applicants. By the 16 Dec, the CIO declared that 16000 apps received and it is impossible for the rest of December that 9000 apps been sent!!!
considering the huge daily volume of contacts and calls to the CIO, I believe that this story about '25000 cap reach' is a rumor which can drives from an angry CIO operator who was messed up with an insistent applicant.
Time will clear every thing. Lets wait some more days and see our glorious encashment.!!

That's true, sad but true...
I am a December applicant myself (Dec 30, NOC 5125), no news yet, only alarming messages of overall cap having been reached.
I am not going to raise a hue and cry but it really looks that doors are closed...

I am Dec 15 applicant.

My DD has not yet encashed, Nor received any mail communication from CIC.

But I managed to get my UCI number from CIC agent when I called them last week.

My ECAS status is showing as "IN PROCESS" and when I click it, the explanation is " your application is received on ... date".

What does it means.. ?
