App returned Date : 2015-02-27

The letter stated both the overall cap and sub-cap for 2172 too...

It is clearly mentioned in the letter sent to me that they have received 25,500 completed applications so far.

Dec 30th applicant here.

Just called CIC, was told a 'letter' was sent to us on the 6th March, last Friday. This concurs with what was previously reported about the cap being full and an application returned last Friday.

I am assuming this is our rejection. Sorry everyone but I really think the cap is full.

Devastated is the only word I can think of at the moment.

this is getting a bit confusing for me. Your app was received on the 16th, If the over cap had reached then how come people up to Dec 29th got charged?

if its overall cap, do they consider those who got charged or not? Inhave got charged yesterday ???

Charging happens only when the cap (sub-cap and overall ) is not full.... If you are charged then you made the cut.

We saw some 29 Dec. applicants charged.

There is a form that we can choose where VO we want our app Goes to. But I can't remember which on.

It's in the Generic Application Form IM0008, section 4

this is getting a bit confusing for me. Your app was received on the 16th, If the over cap had reached then how come people up to Dec 29th got charged?

For NOC 2172 the charging stopped sometime in 2nd week of Feb,2015. My guess is the sub-cap at that time.Now the rejection letter was generated in last week of February, and dispatched to me on 27-Feb-2015. With in those 2 weeks (from 2nd week to last week of Feb ) my guess is they have done opening all the applications (irrespective of NOC) received so far and did the checks to determine all the applications are counted for. If they dispatched my app in 2nd week of Feb my guess is they wouldn't have mentioned the line saying we have received so many number of applications.

Hi, I need your advice ppl,

I see a lot of people from Sept/Oct,talking about 2nd line update in ECAs. Hi what does second line update mean, I got my PER and just see 1 line in my ECAS site.

I'm Dec 29 applicant(10:19 am). Called CIC. A few seconds ago. He took my info and informed that my file was received and in "inventory" and hasn't been processed yet. I then asked him specifically about the overall cap, he startled a bit and I quote "whether cap is reached or not, you are already included as your name is in inventory"!!!

Here I confess, I'm totally confused to the degree that I forgot to ask for UCI# !! What are the steps exactly! I called before and an agent told me "under review", now it's not yet processed (then how come you have all my contact details which means CIO had already opened my file and scanned the bar code page)!!

And how come that I'm in the cap though I haven't been encashed yet!

Not a specific date ... but they mentioned a date range till April 30,2015 (yes..u read it correct..its a future date). I couldn't remember the start date but I am sure they didn't mention when exactly the overall cap reached. Some of you may doubt whether I read the number correctly or not ,so for them ff the overall cap is 25,500 then I read it correct. I got the packet back from Sydney on saturday and opened it yesterday (sunday,03-08-2015).

hey as long as the CIC agent didnt tell u that ur app is returned you are safe man..no need to worry... for me they put me on hold for few min and informed me the exact information..also once your packet reaches CIC, they open it and stamp it with the date they received.. ( I saw that mark on my application and also an UCI number hand written in it ) this happens to each and every application I guess... I saw tick marks across all the forms in crucial locations I believe its the completeness check process. chill out man

But the way CIC processing is really confused
