Just an update for 2172 application

I called up CIC now, CIC agent name Gregory confirmed that My file has been returned to me on 27th Feb 2015,
He couldn't confirm the reason, I kept on asking if its due to cap reached?? But he couldn't confirm.

My application file date was 12 Dec 2014.

I think the word about 2172 cap reached on 10th dec is correct.

This is really surprising that NOC 2172 that was having only 370-applications as per 16th December update of CIC got CAPPEd.
It is really unbelieveable and shocking from statistics and rate of receipt of application for this NOC.
If this could happen then there is also a very big chance that overall cap of 25K can also be reached! But there is a big IF!!!!

I read in your older posts: you applied for two noc, 2281 and 2172. did you apply with 1 Job Description?

Hi, Can you please share the spreadsheet if any for Noc-2172.. Also i have read in this forum that Noc 2172 is capped.. Do we have any authenticated news on this?

My friend's application has been received on Dec 12th. he was charged on Feb 4th. He hasn't received his PER yet. They are now sending PER's to those charged on Feb 5th. Do you think this might be worrying ?

yes that can be a sing for getting worry , but don't mention him and stay optimistic as CIC is unpredictable

is this the overall cap? or just the cap for this NOC?

I don't know this ia really confusing.. Some say that cic agent won't say if noc is capped and others say that they were informed that it was capped.. I don't even understand if they are talking about a specific noc or about the overall cap!

I'm in the same NOC as you - application also rec'd Dec 29th.

I think there are many people having the same situation as ours .This is what the call centre told me.I guess charging people is random altough I dont know what their strategy and priority in processing the application is.hope to hear a good news in following days
