I got a message from CdnMom about updating our status, but it won't let me reply via message so I hope you see it on the forum. Currently we are still waiting. We had to re-send his passport photocopies and they wanted another security clearance from the FBI, which of course got lost in the ether of Canada Post (arrggh). So they are re-mailing the clearance to us and hopefully it will actually arrive and we can forward it on to Ottawa. Frustrating since we probably could have the visa by now if it wasn't for the 3 month delay.

Well it is Monday again... and it way to quiet in this thread... had to go to page 3 to find it

Folks its been a long and stressful 8 months

Our app status has not been updated since feb 2013 (aplied dec 2012)
its still showing medical results received

we received the file notes - and the only two (YES TWO) things left : criminal check / genuineness of relationship - the fact that our house is finished and i travel so often doesn't matter lol

we applied for a visitor visa - DENIED (stating the family ties in canada - immigration doesn't believe they will return )

Nothing heard since...can anyone shed some light on the fact - they denied the TRV - will they start on the actual sponsorship again??
I been praying like crazy - something good...anyday now.

also - how will i know if an interview is not required.??

I believe the majority of us still waiting are still seeing Application Received and Medical Received
Check your notes under eligibility... if you aren't scheduled for an interview it should say recommend passed
Hopefully you will hear something soon

I got an email from the visa office that they are awaiting reassessment of the medical so I'm assuming they put in for an extension as our meds expired. It could take up to 8 weeks so we are in for the long haul.
