I sure hope so too. This is silly that they haven't even assigned somebody to my file yet.. What the hell have they been doing with it? Levelling the break room table?

Got a reply from one of my MP's staff, and they say they cannot help me until my process time elapses - which is June 2015... Looks like I am screwed from all sides, and left to rot.. What a great year this is turning out to be.

That is awful... our MPs office has been so helpful.

I don't understand why they can't process in order of being received... ticks me off to say the least
I have also heard processing time at SVO has increased to 30 months

Hi all, this will probably be one my last posts, except if you guys want more info on the landing and immigrating experience.

We have landed and are home safe!! (official date April 3rd)!! Long journey, about 40 hours door to door, and with our cat!!

The custom and immigration agents were a breeze at Vancouver (which was our POE even though our last destination was Montreal), very smooth and a lot of congratulations! Same for security agents which I made sure they all knew my wife was immigrating, for some reason everyone that knew it made us feel very safe and did the best to accommodate us (same for people boarding us on the plane and plane staff). I really think all the airport staff are trained to be very nice to new immigrants....as they probably are told what hell it is for the waiting times....So if I had anything to recommend, don't be afraid to let people know you are immigrating, be proud, we deserve it!!!!

Well our envelope containing passport and remaining papers SVO asked for are sitting at the Robinson Road Post Office
Canada Post couldn't find the postal code for One George St... so we put both addresses on the envelope.. After 3 phone calls to Singapore Post they advise us they can't retrieve it from Robinson Road.

I am sick worrying about this... The letter was sent requiring a signature and are you telling me the visa office doesn't pick up their mail for a month?

It arrived their on March 10th

This process seems to be never ending

That is terrible! I sure hope they find the passport, and things work out for you.

For us, we are still sitting in the never ending queue.

We heard from the MPs office yesterday!
The Passport is at the High Commission and they sent this email to the MP

In response to your e-mail below, please note that the visa will be sent to your constituent, Ms xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx by registered airmail shortly.

Now the guess is what exactly is shortly...LOL

We are very relieved now to know the PP isn't sitting in the PO Box
