Hey there everyone,

we received a letter in the mail last week that request my BF to re-enter the country either via the border or an international airport. There is a 'semi-formal' interview there, which we assume is part of the normal procedure. We'll be heading to the airport in November, when we are able to take some time off during the day. From there I hope there is just the matter of giving them the passport and getting the visa. Has anyone done this step yet and what is the approximate turn around time from there? We will be heading to Oregon for christmas so he will need his passport back by the end of December.

You unfortunately can't just go to the airport... In order to land as a PR at the airport your BF must fly into Canada... otherwise you have to go to the border and flagpole... meaning he has to technically leave Canada and re-enter.

You must have received your COPR... I am guessing he is from a visa exempt country and therefore did not have to submit his PP

You are at the finish line... There should be a date as to when he has to "land"

Finally today is my turn to received the AIP + An Open Work Permit!!!

My husband in law received email from CIC first and I received mine later...yey!!!!

Sponsor Approved: 28 Oct 2013
Open Work Permit Approved: 28 Oct 2013 (as I applied inland)

3 other Thai friends of mine who applied PR inside Canada also received their AIP+ An Open Work Permit too!!!

Hope more people get more great news soon!!!
