Hello, we got our PPR on 12th Dec, 2017 and send our passports on 13 Dec 2017. Unfortunately my spouse has passed away today. Now I have a few questions-

1. I am planning to raise a CSE, what documents should it include? Death certificate, obituary published in newspaper?

2. Any thoughts on what kind of systematic approach they might take? We were planning to fly in January. But what can I expect after letting them know about my change in situations (dependent spouse was in IT with good work experience and contributed almost 85 points in my EE profile)
Like- Reconsider application or rejection.
I really hope no one has faced this circumstances. But needed to have an idea of what might happen next.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

First, I'm sorry for your loss.

1) I would suggest including the death certificate, obituary, copy of funeral bill, or anything else that supports the situation. If they are not in English or French, make sure they're translated & certified.

2) What was the minimum cutoff score for the draw you received your ITA? If losing the 85 points drops your profile below the minimum, it is very possible they will reject your application.

That is completely wrong, please ignore that.
Your CRS will not be recalculated. Your application is approved and that's the end of it. You just need to inform IRCC with the changes in your family composition (i..e, the death of the spouse) before landing and wait for further instructions. You may only have to return your CoPR and you will get an updated one. Good Luck!

Thank you mgnlky and noscaf2014. My CRS score will drop below cutoff score if they reconsider our score again. I am a bit worried about that whether they'll recalculate or not. We do not have funeral bill, will hospital bill suffice?

just to inform, if anyone in future is unfortunate enough to face this situation. I have raised a CSE about my husband's death. I have attached his death certificate (both from hospital and city corporation) and obituary published in newspaper with it. But IRCC requested me to directly inform my visa office (after 6 days). I have sent the same with IRCC's response mail to my Local visa office. Within a day they have asked for passports and COPR again. I have sent them without delay, yesterday they received it and today my online application was updated. they have issued new travel document for me and my son, and invalidated all of our previous travel documents.
