Please suggest which is the best option for POF at the time of landing.

DD or traveler's cheque ????

How about the service fee that banks charges for each of them ?

The amount we need to carry is 12000 CAD right ? please correct me if am wrong.

dd is the best option for amount larger than 5k,

make a dd of 10k and 2k cash.

that's better.

Are you considering the option of transferring the money before you land in Canada? All major banks (RBC, CIBC, TD, BMO, Scotiabank, etc.) offer the possibility of opening a banking account from abroad so that your money is waiting for you when you land.

You can choose to send 1 to 50 thousands CAD.
