DD encashment!!

hello everybdy

my application was received at CIO on 24 Nov and i am still waiting for AOR

I contacted my forex bank which issued DD for me regarding encashment and they said that it is very long process and you need to pay 2000 INR if you want to know the status of your DD

i wanted to to ask you all that can I contact the bank in Canada (Where the DD was payable i.e Bank of Nova Scotia,West Toranto) and know the status of my DD

Is it possible??

go to manager of the bank
ask him i wana knw abt draft cashed or wht...if he ask same then call head offiec that ma bank manager wants money for some information abt ma draft..dats it

u can ask anytime for detail of ur draft....do u have copy of ur draft....get the copy n go to manager....
n listen one trick hopefully it works for u
ask manger dat..i came few days ago..for the same...i was upset by whn u remployer told me to pay 2000 cash..then i called at head office..n head office told me to contact the manaer other wise fax us the whole thing ..we will take action to the manager ..dats it...lolz...do this trick ..may be it work....

I am myself Chief Manager of that bank but my branch is not foreign exchange branch,,,, and the manager told me that processing fee is 2000rs there is no other way to get information i guess calling over there is good idea ...what do you say?

now what to say !! actually it is the staff who is saying that 2000 INR is fee Manager of forex branch has gone to some conference

the point is that i donot want to disclose that i have applied for Canada lets wait till next week otherwise i will ask my friend in Canada to call scotia bank and to know the status of DD

How mean that is with your bank? Why would they charge? YOu better had used a foreign bank , they are superb in servicing the clients.

Vekhya sarkaari banks da haal.

Bhraa ji, main Nova Scotai te RPRF draft dono hi standard chartered to banvaye si. I just filled the form. Main pen da dhakan band hi kar reha si, ki drafts mere saamne a gaye * send them with Applications.

After few2 3 weeks i put a online request about, the encashment of my draft... te 48 hours ch... mailbox ch reply aa gaya si, with place, date of encashment.

India ch taa Sarkaari banks ne had machai hoyi hai, khaas kar ke SBI, PNB te P&SB ne.
Indira gandhi ne ta bank nationalise keete se. Par saade sardarji je je 5 /6 saal hor tik gaye ta everything will be Back to privatisation & corporatisation.

accounts could u explained that in english plz,i want to check mine as well.tell me how to check if my bank draft is in cash already because until now i havent receive any AOR yet.tnx.
