Daycare/Preschool Registration

Hi all
My wife, daugther and I will move to Toronto in September when the child wil be 5 months old.
My wife and I are PR, but the child was born abroad so we will submit the sponsership papers when we get there.
How does Daycare/Preschool work when we get there for a 5 months old? Do we need to register now or can we do it in October for example?

Select the area you are living in and start researching because your child is an infant (under 12 months) so spaces will be very limited and a lot more expensive. You can see if you can get on lists now. Some may not accept you if you aren’t showing residency. Assume your baby has a visitor visa.

Agree try to get onto a list and expect to pay a lot for a child under 1 for quality daycare. Don't think your child would qualify for a not for profit daycare that tend to cost less.
