Day 1 Understanding the process. Help Required

Hi There,
I am new to the immigration process and would need loads of your help.I know this form has expert people watching and waiting to help.
My first question :
a) As i am from india and trying to get a PR for canada ,do I have to go to any Consultants like Y-axis or similar.
b) My wife and I should be submitting the education transcript to WES or just the primary applicant is enough.

no need to go through a consultant. reading and asking questions in the forum is enough.
ECA for primary is compulsory but if you don't have enough points better get everything done as well as get english test done for both. whoever ends up getting a better score as primary should be it (even if spouse is unemployed etc...) switching primaries can end up with over 50 points difference (i.e. with the same info for us and my spouse it made the difference between 206/407 and 475)

Ok.. So we both will start to work on getting the transcripts and prepare for IELTS..the highest score gets to be primary candidate.
