My daughter has visitor visa until 2014 (husband under SOWP). She's 4 years old when she entered canada and 5 y.o. now. Can she attend kinder school even if she has visitor visa only? Or do i have to apply for student permit for her?

Verify your daughter's visitor record (form)...it should be mentioned whether she is elligble to attend the school ...you don't need a study permit for her...

Yes, she can attend kindergarten. No study permit required.

Thanks guys! Well it says in the remarks of the form that was given in the port of entry, "subject may study in canada at elementary school and high school level of education." However, when she enters to grade 1 next year (i believe), would she be needing a student permit? She will be 6 years old in october 2013
