Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello All,

My first post :)

I would like to sponsor my Thai wife to immigrate to Canada.

At the start of the application there is a field that says "Date Relationship Started"

Do I have to figure out exactly when we met and fill in the date or can I use our Marriage Date? Or does that filed even apply to us?

Also, the next field is congucal partner...Do I need to fill in that field aslo?

Thanks for the help

Steve and Sai

Hey Steve you need to fill in the date you actually met, there is another place that ask you the date you got married.Conjucal partner is like common law you do not need to fill this in.hope this helps so far.

Your welcome if you need any other hlp just ask we will help you get this done correctly.

thanks so much!

Are you a Candadian citizen? YES

Became a citizen on = Birth date?

By descent = ?

Permanent resident = NO? I dont get it. I live in Thailand. I am from Canada. So I am a resident, but permanent resident is a term for people who are not originally Canadian?

Do I fill out

#10 ?

#11 ?

Who ever you are sponsoring (your Wife)has to fill out the permanent resident portion. You are a resident she is applying for the permant resident. You are only filling out the sponsor portion.

" Who ever you are sponsoring (your Wife)has to fill out the permanent resident portion. You are a resident she is applying for the permant resident. You are only filling out the sponsor portion."

But I am on page part A - Sponsor

I believe this whole page has to be filled out by the sponsor (me)

Ok well you are a canadian citizen, permant resident, just living in TIA short term right

OK, I am not a permanent resident. Thats for people who immigrated to Canada because the next question is "give the name of the country..."

Do I need a C0-Signer if I am sponsoring my wife?

I dont need to show income right?

Steve

1. You do not need a co-singer as you're sponsoring your spouse.
2. I know that there is no minimum income requirement for sponsoring spouse. I am not sure about if you need to show that you have income or not. Hope other people will be able to give you the answer for this.
3. Are you living in Thailand just for temporary? You will be able to sponsor your spouse only if you reside in Canada or if you live outside Canada, you must return to live in Canada by the time your spouse becomes permanent residence. When you submit the application while you live outside Canada, you have to have a prove that you will return to Canada such as letter of employment, letter of acceptance from school or a lease of the apartment...etc.

Steve

You're very welcome. I'm from Thailand same as your wife :)

I thought that was a Thai flag!

Saweedee Krup!

Where do you live in Canada? Are you enjoying it?
