Dar es Salam VO - Timeline - Overseas Spouse and Dependents of protected and convention refugees

Dear friends, I know we all share the same frustrations around tracking these PR process for our loved family dependents, and also value the important of these forums.
I know we have a very resourceful thread about the Overseas Spouse and Dependents of protected and convention refugees link , but I also wanted to introduce this specifically for files being processed in Dar es Salaam VO.

This will help us to get an idea of the progress and expectations in specific office as we all know that the speed of processing office is not always the same in this regards.

So I really encourage everyone who's dependents files are being processed in Dar es Salaam and who is a a Protected Person in Canada to kindly share the timelines, issues and advise here.
Lets not stay quite as sharing will help us as we will be learning from each others.

Here is my timeline so far :

• Submission PR Application in Canada : June 2023
• Dependents files sent to Dar es Salam VO : September 2023
• Dependents received letters from Dar es Salaam requesting them to submit forms : September 2024
• Biometrics instructions letter: October 2024
• Biometrics submitted: October 2024

I got my pre-arrival and eligibility letter in March 2024
Overseas dependents received a Request letter in March 2024 VO Dar es Salaam Tanzania
Submitted all the necessary documents in April 2024
Overseas dependents received a biometric letter in June 2024
Biometric completed June 2024
The principal applicant received my PR in Nov 2024 in Canada
Nothing happened after that
Overseas dependents are waiting for a medical request letter. fingers crossed

• Request for copy of passport for minors (Which was already submitted back in September 2023) : May 20, 2026
