Damsel In Distress!! - LMO REFERENCE NUMBER??!

HI!!! and thanks to anyone who answers this post!!!

I'm from NZ and my working holiday visa expires Dec'10.

My current employer is in the process of writing an ad for jobbank.ca and then we will submit the LMO online application after the ad has run for 14 business days.

Service Canada told me I can apply for a new work permit when my employer receives a REFERENCE LMO NUMBER.

ANY idea when this is given out? I am assuming it is sometime before they give final feedback (positive or negative response)

Once your employer applies, service canada will review the application and reply back to your employer. They will send in the mail a copy of the LMO - either positive or negative. On top of the form is the LMO #. Once you have a positive LMO, take another offer letter from your employer from this new start date, attach an exp. letter, LMO copy, previous salary slips and use the WP application (to renew a WP) and send it to CIC for processing!!

It normally takes 4-6 weeks for the LMO application result to come back to your employer. The LMO will have a reference number; when you apply for your new WP you would have to attach a copy of the LMO with your application package.

It takes about 3 weeks from the date of submission for a decision from Service Canada in BC.
