CWP to OWP while PR application is in process

Hi Members,

Need your help to understand if I can convert my spouse's Closed Work Permit to Open Work Permit while her PR application is in the process which is filed under spouse sponsorship?

My spouse is currently working on a close work permit having validity of more than a year, we have applied for her PR under sponsor your spouse program. Is it possible to convert her CWP to OWP as her PR application is in the process?

Did you sponsor her for PR through the inland or outland program?

Assuming inland you can include an OWP application with the PR sponsorship and application package and it will be processed as usual. It is possible to hold more than one work permit at the same time.
