CVV mistake

Dear seniors,

I would like to have an advice regarding my situation. And in the payment form
I use my brother CC. I trust him that everything he write
is correct because it is his card. But he suddenly realised that he put a wrong CVV.
with all your expertise what should I do. Is it I need to wait my application to reject. Or do some things else?

The package will receive approximately today

Its really bad that small things like these does hamper the application at a larger scale.
Wrong CVV means CIC won't be able to get through payment. It would be nice on your part now that u send ur updated payment form by courier (state ur UCI with covering letter if u have any)....fax them ur payment form with covering letter on urgent basis. We have seen in the forum that one member darkman1987 application got rejected just because he put wrong expiry date of credit card.

If u have UCI from previous application, u might get lucky.

Yes that is my big mistake.
and I dnt have a uci as it is new application.
I know the problem now and I'm thinking the other possible solution 1 is to talk with the bank a possible solution.
In worst case I try to send the correct cvv before they review my papers but this method I think is not possible as it is very clear that any wrong payment will return the application. But I will give a try.

U should do whatever it can be done at ur end to update CIC regarding ur mistake.
U never know, when ur luck might favor you.

Whether you tried to cancel the delivery of your package and get it returned back to you by contacting your courier?

jrgene16 - if you send an updated payment form with a cover letter, they should accept it as we have seen a similar case here. Perhaps you can write your card was lost and hence you are sending new details. Also what NOC are you?

Hi Johnnyzee I'm under 2131, and if ever I declare lost card I need to support it with police report. Now I think I write them and tell the truth what ever happen I will accept atleast I did what ever necessary solution.

If only, there is a way that I can change from CVV to AVS it will be more easier.

all the suggestion above are not workable ..........simply your package will be returned as incomplete .......i see many member whose cards are blocked due to international transaction and they did not inform bank for that transaction and card got blocked and application returned as incomplete......you cannot write them cause you do not have any reference number till the time and they will not find the package over your special request .........they are already very much lazy .......

@ jrgene16 - you should send the updated fee form with a cover letter regardless of what will happen to the application. You won't know until you do it. Also, I am pretty sure you do not need a police report to tell them you lost a personal credit card. Mate - you are not claiming for insurance, you are paying for immigration!

@ awai ali - I do not agree with your strong views about rejection. There was a guy on this year's FSW and his updated payment form was accepted. However, if someone had sent the wrong schedule 3 form, then CIC could have rejected the additional package. The fee form does not affect eligibility into FSW. It is just to help in taking payment.

If you think such situation would be occurred ......he must try coz there is no option left as you suggested .....
