Was approved as sponsor yesterday. However today PA received a CV/resume request… they want a brief history of education, qualifications etc….. he doesn’t have a resume. He never finished high school, but is self taught skilled. In his country you don’t need to be licensed to do certain things. Will just a letter of explanation be ok???

I would not recommend that.

Provide the information a resume format as requested. If he didn't finish high school then show this as partial / incomplete studies.

If he's in Canada, then I would put his Canadian address. Include his high school education and then any work experience like you would in a standard resume. Best to provide exactly what IRCC has requested.
