Hi Guys,

Please help with this. As I applied my PR last year when I landed at toronto airport i had undeclared cigarettes in my bag. Customs fined me and officer said they put a note on my file is this going to affect anything to my PR..? anyone similar situation plz..

It shouldnt, its the cbsa file and its just a standard fine for undeclared products...not a big deal! kindda like bringing more than $10000 cash across the border you will get fined for that and thats about it...only next time you cross the border the cbsa officer might ask to search your luggage cuz of whats on your file! relax you are fine.
unless that is your are into smuggling large amounts of cigarettes

Thanks so much.. it's just 2 packs of cigarettes.! but officer said you may not renewal your work permit. thats why i scared.
