Currently working in PR Application but will Resign soon

Hi everyone,

Just needed some help. I am currently in the 2 month processing of documents post ITA. I received ITA last January 10, 2019.

In my work experience, I listed my current work as "currently working" but i really want to Resign from my current work. Here are my questions:

1. If I resign, will this affect my application as the work experience in my PR application is currently working.?
2. If ever I resign and the work experience says currently working, will it affect the background check they will do.?

Please advice. I just really wanted to quit my current job.

So, the job u r working are claiming only as exp or also as valid job in canada... if its just exp no issue...
But if u r claiming it as valid job in canada the. Yes

Just stick to your job untill you receive the PPR, you are not the only one .. i think 90% of the forum is in the same case as you, They're looking forward to quit there current job once receive PPR

I quit my current job when mine was during pr.. and joined my job in Canada... its ok..

I am a programmer. My first Job is 2 yrs and 9 months and my current job (which is the one i want to quit) is more than 1 yr and 6 months now and counting..

The problem is i really can't stick with it anymore because of usual Management problems. I did my best to talk to the management and all but i just cannot really stick with the job. I am not productive anymore and i am just so depressed. So i thought to just really quit.

ahhh. The answer is no. i dont have any job offer when i applied for Express Entry.

thank you so much. this put me at ease. quick question though. will i need to provide an explanation letter regarding my situation as to why I quit my job in the middle of PR application.?
