Hello,

Just wondering if someone can give me some advice on what my best option is regarding applying for BOWP?

I'm currently on my 2nd year IEC which expires on March 28th. I applied for CEC in October and it was received on Oct 20th. The bank told me that my money order was cashed last week.

As I only have 2 months left on my current work permit, would it be best for me to apply on paper without the AOR, or risk waiting for the AOR and apply online? I see that processing times have gone up to 40 days for online and 74 for paper, so it's going to be tight. :(

Lastly, as I am on IEC and therefore not eligible for implied status, what would happen if I didn't receive my BOWP before my current work permit expires? I know I won't be able to work, but would I have to leave Canada?

Any help would be HUGELY appreciated - the waiting game with CIC is getting so stressful!

Thanks :)

Hi,
i think to be in same situation like you, my federal skilled trades pr application was received on 25, nov 2014 and 29th december 2014 cheque was been cashed, i am still waiting for AOR hope it will come before 6th march as my IEC visa will expire on 6th march.
I think i will go to flagpole and enter as visitor if nothing happen, but if i receive my AOR before 6th march i will send right away for BOWP, but in this case i dont know if i still have to go for flagpole and re enter canada as a tourist, i am from a visa exempt country.

please post if you find something helpful in some other thread or you have some news.
thanks and good luck
