Hi everyone,

I am enrolled in a 3 year advanced diploma program co-op program (I'm done with 4 semesters and 1 work term out of a total of 3 work terms), I was fortunate enough to find a co-op job but I feel like this specific field will not work out for me, I want to pursue another program.

My program also has a 2 year variation which is just a diploma instead of an "advanced diploma" - To earn that diploma I would only need to take 4 more courses.

What I'm planning on doing is ending the work term that is starting in september and enroll into college for those 3 courses.

And then in January I would like to join the new program which is 3 years long.

My study permit along with my TRV is expiring in April 2018.
I plan on extending them so that I can finish my 3 year program.

Now the reason for this post is to know if there are going to be any issues doing the 4 courses in September?
I would be considered a part-time student.

If I'm not able to take those 4 courses can I still remain in Canada until January which is when my new program will start? If so will I be able to Work part-time or otherwise until January?

(I can't enroll into the 3 year program this semester anyways due to lack of spots open for the program but the college has confirmed that they can accept me for January)

Thanks.

I don't see any issues provided you don't work while you are a part time student.
