Well they didn't really request the passport...they just kept it after the interview...I'm hoping they did that for a good reason and everything is in order.

I would think that is a good sign. If the interview went against you I think they would have notified you rather quickly.

I have asked the forum if you are refused, how long it takes for CIC to notify of the refusal..some get refused right after they apply, the application doesn't even get to the second stage. Others have said they were refused at the interview...some have been refused 2 months later...so as you can see why I'm on edge. In the Kingston thread they never heard of Kingston keeping the passport at the time of interview until recently. Maybe it's a new way of doing things for Kingston.

Now that it's been over two months since the interview hopefully your hubby will hear something or you will see an update on ecas this week. It's the unknown that drives us all crazy...

That's it, the unknown. They never seem to use the same system at CIC...if they did it would be allot easier to know what to expect. Maybe they have different manuals for different countries...lol All I know as I'm starting to acquire a small twitch...lol

It would be. I highly doubt they would keep the passport just to send it back with a big NO haha.

It strikes me that they wouldn't need your passport unless they were planning on approving you. I can't see any other reason why they would need it.

Hence why some people I've talked to have called the Passport Request the "Pre-Confirmation" of Permanent Residence. :P
