Anybody out there who about to start sponsoring spouse from Cuba?
Many of us would need tips, ideas, advice etc.
Let's help each other, it is a very stressful process, we all know.

you should visit cubaamor.org.. they have quite a few people going through the sponsorship process and they post their timelines there and share a lot good info for marrying a Cuban and what to do afterwards. Goodluck!

I agree with mc1234. cubaamor.org is a good community and can be a good resource.

Also, if your daughter is looking for a more affordable way to call Cuba that also provides phone records, she should check out Startec.

Thank you guys.
We use VoipCheap for calls, it is pretty much the same, 0.75 Euro cent per minute.
Bu t I will check Startec.
I wish you all much luck! ;)

I would advise people to approach cubaamor with caution. There's a lot of good information on there but a lot of negativity as well. If you dive in, go with a thick skin!

Ditto what Veradis said.
Our thread here is very informative and not as judgmental as cubaamor.
Have questions, just ask them in our Havana thread

Hello,

This is a great blog! Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences.

My fiancé hasn't completed the two years in Military. Is that a requirement in order to leave the country?

Thank you!

we sent our application back in august 2018 we have done the medical since September 2 , and they have confirmed to us that they have received the medical result . Mexico are now asking for the original copy of the criminal background check and we still haven't receive any letter asking for biometrics.

does anyone on this forum dealing with this issue with MEXICO asking for original and still haven't receive the letter asking for biometrics?
