Hello,
We got OWP under CUAET 3 years ago and we recently applied and extended the OWP. When we received the first visa the embassy gave us worker visa along the work permit but since we extended the OWP, visa did not extend and it will expire soon.
I have 2 questions and i would appreciate if you can assist me with that.

-Can I apply for new visa outside of Canada ? Due to my job(seaman) I could not spend long time in Canada therefore is that possible they may refuse the visa if I apply outside canada or is it matter inside or outside ?

-Which kind of visa do I need to apply because first visa was worker visa what they gave me?

-If I apply for visa today, the visa I have on my passport is still valid, will my visa be invalid once I apply for new visa or will it be valid until it's expiration date ?

Thank you so much all !

Yes you can apply from outside Canada. If not actually living in Canada yes your TRV could be refused because the whole point of CUAET was to provided temporary safety to Ukranians not to grant them WPs that aren’t being used forever. If WPs got previous CUAET holders weren’t automatically extended then WP could have also been denied if you nrver moved to Canada. Did you state that you were living in Canada on the WP extension? Did you ever relocate to Canada and if so when and how long? If not living in Canada where are you living and have you been granted status in that country? At any point your temporary status could be reassessed especially if you aren’t using the permit as intended. A job in sales doesn’t mean you can’t live in Canada. Even if people work in sales and need to travel for work they have a home in Canada that they return home to between work trips.

Hi thank you for your message, I think you did not get what I was trying to say. I am not a salesman I am a seaman and most of the time of the year I must spend time on ship. When I go off the ship yes I go to Canada and live there but this is very short period of time in a year and when I did application , I have been asked and I provided those information so It was approved. Of course I did relocate to Canada since I got the work permit but what I was asking was different. Do you know at least the answer for the question below?

Sorry not sure how I read salesman not seaman. In that case you can apply for a TRV. The new TRV will replace the old one.
