Cic agent told me that my citizenship application is approved what exactly does that mean. ?

I gave my test on AUGUYS/14/2014 and waiting for oath, they don't have the oath letter, but told my that your application has already been approved.

I am little bit doubtful can it be approved without me receiving the oath letter.

Please elaborate .

It means your app was approved by the CJ
and you are in waiting to be scheduled for oath

I have been told the same but the wording used was "citizenship was granted to you on Sep 25th'14" I haven't heard anything from my local office.

To give you an idea, my app was approved on Aug 27th
and they scheduled me for oath on Oct 14th
maybe your office has a loooong waiting list for oath

It means CIC has decided that you are a citizen now. What remaining is scheduling for the ceremony and you taking oath, where officially they will pass you the citizenship certificate.

and they scheduled me for oath on Oct 14th
maybe your office has a loooong waiting list for oath

this week is citizenship week, hopefully more oath ceremonies
our ceremony today = 91 new citizens
hopefully you will have yours soon, late Oct or early Nov

They told you that "citizenship was granted to you on Sep 25th'14 since u haven't heard anything from them so I believe u haven't receive the oath letter.

i believer you gave your test somtime on sep/20./2014 is that right ?

Confusing don't know how can they grant unless you receive ur certifica.

My wife's application was approved on August 22nd, still waiting in MTL for Oath

I completely agree with you. It does sound funny and I took this new with a pinch of salt. I took my test on 29th July. I hope they are right and oath is scheduled soon!
