here is my question... on the check application status on the cic website it says application received and then it says medical results received. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!!! please help! does it mean its not even in process yet? or does it mean a decision has been made?(in the table provided when checking your application status and what they mean it says that receiving medical results is part of the decision made status... im so confused and tired of waiting ... please help!

thank you for your time! :) and goodluck to all!

This might help you!!!
¦Decision made - Before the medical requests - Not normally good news at this stage- good reason to worry (status timing unexpected)
¦Decision made - Directly after the medicals sent but before the passport requests - 50/50 could be good, could be bad, be concerned. (status timing unexpected)
¦Decision made - Already done medicals and passports requested - Normally always good no need to worry (status timing unexpected)
¦Decision made - Already done medicals and passports requested, passports returned with landing visa -Good news (status timing expected)

hello thanks so much for your answer!

the thing is where the status is supposed to be it says application received and in the notes it says medical notes received.. so i was a little confused but i guess theyre just starting it...

and what is this "medicals done" date that im seeing everywhere on the forum.. is it the medical exam that was done in Havana that was requested for the package to send to MICC and apply? it sounds to me it is something else.. can anyone clue me in! :)

It means that your application and medicals were received, and that's it, unfortunately. Next step will be PPR (passport request), then COPR. Online status isn't much of an indicator whether your application is actually in process or whether a decision has been made.

After receiving the CSQ (35days), I've been insisting with husband that I need the original certificate (as what I've read in this forum) but my husband was not convince. He told me he will call the MICC to confirm about it. So after he called the MICC he told me that MICC confirms that I don't need the original. (But I'm still doubtful but couldn't insists on my husband) ;D

Mrs had you called MICC about it ? What did they said ?

Same thing with me. My husband got the original i just asked for the copy.

What I did was I gave the original of CSQ to my husband, who is the sponsored person and i keep a photocopy for myself(sponsor) because the sponsored person will present it in tne port of entry in Canada if their final destination is the province of Quebec. Hope this info helps.Goodluck

Does anyone know how to add dependent children to the undertaking and apply for CSQ, after the CSQ for the principal applicant was received?

The forms are confusing for these kind of situations

Thanks Polgas. So quebec doesn't try to meet their promise which they publish on their website ( within 20 days)
That's bad over the extra 266$ fee

The fee is expensive (especially you have more than one applicant), but it looks pretty close to 20 business days to me.

March 5 to April 10 equals 36 days.
Subtract 10 weekend days, 26 days remain.
March 29 and April 1 are public holidays in Quebec, 24 days remain.
4 days for delivery by Canada Post, 20 business days processing.

I'd rather not have to pay extra for the CSQ, but compared with CIC, Quebec is super efficient and predictable, and is consistently very close to the promised processing times.
