Not possible for 14k to seat BTW 440-9 at this time last year. That was approx 1/4 of the entire pool. Maybe you meant 400-449

No no no not that much!. There was about 14K in the range 400-449! Lets say it was 3K in the range 440-449. Now even if its double then 6K. Not bad.

IMO anything above 440 has a very good chance of receiving ITA before the end of this year. However, if you can't wait for that long then try PNP options

You should mark ALL PROVINCES when enterning EE, then Ontario can pick you up automatically.

In addition to what astralsource said, there are other provincial nominee programmes as well for which you can try, depending on your NOC. For a start, search for various Provincial Nominee Programmes (websites) and check their qualification criteria.

But the invite comes automatically into the profile right? I have already marked all provinces. Is that sufficient or I have do something else apart from that.

It comes automatically only from ONTARIO which is not on the list I made for you. You should get PT Notification of Interest from Ontario through your MyCIC account. More here:

Scores are coming down pretty fast now, had another draw today with 3300 ITAs. If you haven't seen it yet, the cutoff was 459... Hopefully it continue this way for the next couple months or so, and then those between 440 - 449 should be getting ITAs. Since Dec 16th, the score is down from 497 to 459 in less than a month.
