I need help please…

Brief History: My husband came to Vancouver ( where I live ) last March, and they detained him for 2 hours in immigration. They stamped his passport with a date to live Canada, and there’s a paper attached to his passport for all the conditions such as he have to leave Canada on this day, cannot work, must report to immigration upon leaving the country, etc. They also said he might not be ALLOWED TO ENTER CANADA again if he is not Permanent Residence. We followed everything they said, and my husband actually left Canada a month before the date tamped on his passport.

We are still waiting for his passport now but he is planning to visit me here in Canada for 2 weeks. Instead of flying to Vancouver, he is landing to Seattle and my parents and I will pick him up. Same day, my uncle and grandfather from Chicago are also going.

So My Questions Are:

He is not allowed to Enter Canada, If he is not PR? Is this TRUE?

Since my Grandpop and Uncle (both US Citizen) will cross with him at the border, just in case they denied entry to my husband, are they going to deny them too?? I am worried that they will.

They are all landing around 10 pm, so we will cross the border (blaine, wasington) around 1 am, would this be a problem? Is this a red flag as we are crossing in the wee hours?

Also, what papers, and certification do I need to bring?

PLEASE HELP US… We are desperate to see each other. …

I had a visitor record once then the next time just talked to immigration and walked in. Make sure he has proof of ties such as lease, job, and return ticket out of Seattle. Also what helped me the last time was a letter from my sponsor inviting me to stay with the exact dates on the letter.
I would also have proof of the filed application. Do not show it unless there seems to be a problem. Family going with him also to visit will help I would think. As for the time, you never know other than lots of people cross for the day and later come back late at night.

He was directed to secondary screening, and issued a visitor record - it happens a lot. How long was the visitor record for (how long was he allowed to stay in Canada)?

It has always been true, all visitors can be refused entry, the IO decides.

If they are visitors it is possible.

They have a real reason to travel at that time, and they will have his ticket to prove the flight arrival, so on that item it should be no problem.

Being sent to secondary, can mean you get sent there on the following visit. But there are no guarantees.

I assume that you have applied for PR for your husband, is this correct?

In the mean time have a look at the CIC notes for visitors to Canada http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/index.asp

Thank you guys for the replies.

Baloo… you are very knowledgeable… thank you! Yes we applied for his PR… we are just now waiting…..

My husband is landing around 12 noon, but my uncle and grandpa don’t arrive till 10 pm. So we will wait in Seattle for few hours… If we are risking my Uncle and Grandpa’s visit, would it be advisable that me and my husband just take the train going to Vancouver? So we can both cross the border, without risking my other relatives? Or… is it more likely… that they will question us LESS, if we are with them at the crossing?
Also, my husband have a return ticket and letter of employment from his employer that they are letting him go, and the expected day that he should report back to work.
