Hi,
outbound thanks very much for ur input.Yes I know tht as he applied in 2007 so he was under the new rules. But do u know nowadays London visa office has processed some cases very quickly ,whose professions were included in the list of 38.There was one computer professional who submitted his docs in June 2009 n got his visa stamped on 15th Sept, same was the case with another applicant.Whereas there are many applicants who submitted their docs in April -May 2009 n still havent received even the medicals request as their professions were not included in the list.I might be wrong but it seems from the current statistics. As I am also a 2007 applicant n just submitted my docs so quite concerned abt this issue.

regards

you can have two applications at the same time, one under the old rule and one under the new rule.

I am under old rules and in 38 list and my case is as slow as dead. No preference for be on the 38 list if you are under old rule. Preference is ONLY for the applicants who applied after Feb 27th 2008 and in some cases that is not true either - you are fast if you applied after Nov-Dec 2008.

No Fast processing for old rule applicants, they will go as usual with no priority.

Great news...!! This means the Visa offices are getting positively responsive to genuine cases.
Wish u a smooth ride ahead...!

Too much money and effort for applying again, I have no time for that, I am already at the end (I hope so) and want to see what they will do with this one instead have to worry about two - but thanks for the advice.

Hi, outbound may be ur right but in your view wht could be the reason tht CIC s processing ONLY those cases quickly who r in the list of 38 .Why only the cases of computer professionals, accountants, construction managers ,petroleum industry professionals etc r getting fast processings, whereas there are other applicants who have submitted docs even before them but havent received a word from CIC.I ve noticed this trend on trackitt and asked almost all the persons who got their medical request earlier n was surprised to know tht EVERY one was included in the list of 38,though applied before Feb 2008.I am not sure abt sam-can case may be it was his turn n time but I just asked him to know the exact timings ,to ve an idea .I ve noticed one thing tht the difference in processing times s observed ONLY after submitting docs. There are exceptions as well as one of my friend, who applied after Feb 2008 submitted his docs in March 2009 to London, profession s included in the list of 38 but still waiting for his medical .

Dear people

If you want to fill case specific enquiry form then this is the link:

https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=london

you just need to write down some details about your application and submit the form at the final stage, in the same day you will receive the confirmation for your email and you need to wait up to 28 days to receive their reply.

I hope this would help you and good Luck.

Cheers,
Zaid

28 days or 28 Hours? I waited only 12 hours and received a reply from them (Buffalo) I am not sure for London, 28Days seems to be a lot. Anyways, their email replies are usually outdated and they provide only general information and very vague. So there is no way that their email meet your expectation.

well it said up to 28 days and as you said they will not give you any specified answer about our case.

Gents

My understanding is you get reply depends your case status and seriousness of your query, because I got the reply with in 3 days when it was really mandatory, for example this instant. Whereas some of my online queries were not replied even after 60 days!!
